Q: Cannot Verify on Old E-Address
Hello,
I do not use my iPad much and am a real novice about it.
Today I updated it with IOS 9.3.2. When it came back on after the update, it brings up a box saying “Apple ID Verification - enter the password for “**** in Settings.” I have not had that e-mail address in a long while, and my Apple ID is ****. I have no password for ****, and when I ask via my laptop computer at the Apple opening page to help me find the account belonging to ****, it says there is no such account (although I can sign in fine using the laptop computer to the Apple account of ****).
On the iPad page where it asks for my verification, I can hit the “Settings” button. Then a box says, “Apple ID Password - the password for “****” needs to be updated.” There is a box for me to put in my password, but it does not accept the one Apple knows me by for ****. So I cannot sign in.
If I hit the “Cancel” button, I can use the iPad for other things, but I’d like to be able to sign in without problems in my ****.
What should I do?
