Hi.
Right or control click on a photo in the Photos app then click Get Info then type a label where you see: Add a Title
You can more help with the Photos app. With the Photos app open and in focus go to the Photos menu bar then click Help > Photos Help
Top right corner in the search field type: View and add information about photos
How did you label photos in iPhoto? If you are asking about the batch changing options, they are sadly missing in photos and you have to fallback on Apple Scripts. You'll find some scripts in the User Tip section (Photos for Mac).
You can add titles, captions, keyword, and locations to the photos in Photos.
This information can be seen in the Info panel that Carolyn Samit described. To open the info panel you can also use the keyboard shortcut ⌘I .
What you should do to see most of the metadata of your photos is to go to the View menu in Photos. select "Metadata" and enable all metadata tags. If you enable metadata > Titles any title you add will be shown below the thumbnails.
if you select multiple photos at once and type a title or a caption into the Info panel, it will be added to alls elected photos at once.
Can't answer unless you tell us how you did it in iPhoto - neither iPhoto nor Photos has anything names "label"
Most people mean title when they say label - you do that in the info window - some people mean keywords - you also do that in the info window
So if you will give use details about what you did in iPHoto we can tell you how to do it in Photos
