Q: Prevent Safari History Syncing between iCloud devices?!

Is there a way to prevent Safari history syncing between devices while still keeping Safari bookmarks synced? Having my iPhone's Safari constantly feed into my Mac history without separation is a nightmare (that just began for me post my 1st iCloud iPhone Backup). There should be a way to keep things linked but separate (or at least identified as separate rather than just being inserted as history on my Mac).
