trackpad2 - 3 finger drag, 1 sec lag on release

when i first turned it on under trackpad settings or accessibility there was definitely not a 1-2 second release lag. i used it for days and it perfect. i'm a computer gamer and professional designer so i operate a mouse/pad/cursor very quickly. all of a sudden there's a 1-2 sec release lag which makes the 3 finger drag feature unusable for me.

when i turn to the internet, there's posts about it being indented or as designed... any fix/advice for this release lag?
