Q: Macbook Pro issues

I recently got problems with my early 2013 Macbook Pro, which has a non removable battery. It does not respond to the power button by only pressing it, with and without Magsafe charger. When I press the power button with the Magsafe unplugged hold it down for 10 seconds, and then plug in the Magsafe while still pressing the power button, it does start up. When it has started up, the fans are rotating at a high RPM however the macbook isn't performing at all, the keyboard lights don't react. It appeared to me that I should reset the SMC. However, when I try to do a SMC reset by these steps:

"If the battery is nonremovable

  1. Shut down the Mac.
  2. Plug in the MagSafe or USB-C power adapter to a power source and to your Mac.
  3. Using the built-in keyboard, press Shift-Control-Option on the left side of the keyboard, then press the power button at the same time.
  4. Release all keys, then press the power button again to turn on your Mac"

it doesn't respond. Maybe it would help to perform a SMC reset without having to turn the mac off or something like that. Also when I remove the Magsafe the notebook turns off immediately.

Tomorrow I'm going to try to start up the macbook with another Magsafe, however I doubt that it will be the solution.

Does my problem sound familiar to anyone ?

thanks in advance,
