Is "convert to MP3" feature gone?
Has Apple taken away the option to "convert to MP3" with the 12.4.0.119 or am I missing something?

From iTunes' menu, go to iTunes > Preferences > General > Import Settings > [Import using] MP3 Encoder.
From iTunes' menu, go to iTunes > Preferences > General > Import Settings > [Import using] MP3 Encoder.
1 | Open iTunes Preferences. |
2 | Windows: Choose Edit > Preferences. |
3 | Mac: Choose iTunes > Preferences. |
4 | Click the General button, then click the Import Settings button in the lower section of the window. |
5 | From the Import Using pop-up menu, choose the encoding format that you want to convert the song to. To save the settings, click OK. |
6 | Select one or more songs in your library that you want to convert. |
7 | Choose File > Create New Version, then Create [format] Version. The format shown is the one that you chose in step 3. For example, if you chose Apple Lossless Encoder, select Create Apple Lossless Version. |
New song files appear in your library next to the original files.

I don't think you were being a dope! 🙂 It was simpler before - right click, make MP3 version (or whatever).... Suddenly Apple changed it. How is one supposed to know ! 😠
