iTunes

Q: iTunes error -54

I am on iPhone 6s on iOS 9.3.1 and iTunes 12.4


I am trying to copy  over some albums that were recently on my iPhone ( removed themselves when I synced my iPhone) but when I drag the album to my iPhone, I receive an error -54 and the music doesn't show up in Music app.

 

Any suggestions?

I understand that you are getting and error when syncing content that is in iTunes to your iPhone. Let's go over some troubleshooting steps to get that sorted out. 

Since you are not getting the content, I would start with consolidating the media files within iTunes. This would make it so iTunes knows where all your files are and will keep them organized. You can also check for any third party software that may conflict with syncing. Also, it is a good idea to sync a small amount of content to isolate if a specific file is the issue.     OK thanks for the link and the help, It turns out that a security program recently installed was the cause of why the songs weren't able to transfer over.
