Q: Safari Issue- restore from backup???

My Safari 9.1.1 went on the fritz starting 4 days ago.  It is not a system wide problem...if I log in as a guest it works fine.  Can I restore the Safari settings from time machine?...if so which files should I try.

Thanks.

What do mean by "it went on the fritz"? Tell us exactly what happens when you launch Safari.

Here's a screen shot of the yahoo home page.  All web pages look like this.  All script, no pics, videos, flash.SS.jpg

Force Quit Safari ( command + option + esc keys). Then, Relaunch Safari holding the shift key.

If Safari is slow, stops responding, quits unexpectedly, or has other issues - Apple Support

If that doen' solve it then please download and run EtreCheck, created by one of own helpers here in ASC. It is a diagnostic tool that's very useful to us in finding problems. Also it will give us further specs on your Mac. After it runs post the log file here. It will contain no personal information

If the Develop menu isn't showing in the Safari menu bar, select

Safari Preferences... Advanced Show Develop menu in menu bar

Uncheck any checked items in the menu that start with the word "Disable." You can then go back to the Preferences window and disable the Develop menu itself, if you wish.

    That worked!!!

The "disable styles" was checked...unchecked it and it works good.

    Thanks.
