Jun 3, 2016 10:25 AM in response to lschwarczby RickSF,Thanks for letting us know, Larry! I've been checking occasionally, but wouldn't have again for another few days likely. This will get me back on track quicker!

Jul 11, 2016 5:00 AM in response to lschwarczby JSquanto,I have had the same issues except with editing PDF’s in Windows 10 + iTunes 12. Once upon a time you could edit both the release date and publication year. It helped keep things ordered. Now you can only edit the year if it was set previous to iTunes 12. Otherwise any new imports (except those bought from iTunes Store) will not show the “year” field.
I called Apple Support to discuss the problem. I was put on hold for a while and then he came back with some standardized nonsense like “the software is working as intended” and offered nothing more.
I just don’t get them. It’s always two steps forward and one step back.

Jul 22, 2016 2:16 PM in response to Steve McHargueby Zorg Smith,I am running iTunes 12.4.2.4 on a PC with Windows 7 I cannot add or change the Release Date. This is especially annoying because Apple TV uses the Release Date as a sort field when displaying TV shows.

Jul 25, 2016 11:48 PM in response to Steve McHargueby Epyon761,I'm having the same problem with podcasts, really messes with the order of podcasts in the queue, iTunes is currently version 12.4.2.4 and it's still not been fixed. Can this be fixed already? Or just remove the option if it's not going to be fixed.
