Q: I never get to the restore screen

I need to start up my sons old Iphone 5 because his new Iphone 6 was stolen yesterday. He has forgot his password and the Itunes sync does not work. I can not get it in WIFI mode either so I try the last reset function. I get to the Itunes and cable picture but it never jumps one step further to the restore tab. What can I do?

Since you cannot connect to Wifi, you will need to follow the instructions in this support article for Erasing your device Using iTunes or Using Recovery Mode:
