Q: NO- service problem

I am from INDIA.

i purchased a iPhone 6s new mobile from Hong Kong in a authorised Seller(Fortress mobiles).

When i bring to India and put on my country sim(vodafone) to my mobile, everything is working but the network is not connecting at all.

In the settings>about i can see vodafone, but when i see in carrier" it is not connected, i tried many online solutions.

I tried:

1. all the settings (network..so on) and software is upto date.

2. tried selecting network, but in carrier it does not show the network available.

3. I tried complete resetting the phone 2 to 3 times.

4. I tried changing the apple ID.

i Tried many things, my phone is working but could not resolve the network. Could not make calls or find networks in my I phone.

Can someone help me. When i went to ask for help from local outlet, it is problem with the change in country settings, and they said it will be of charge about 18000INR.

Please someone help me.

thanks in advance.

    Hi Logaraj,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I'm sorry to hear that you are having these issues with your new iPhone 6s. I'm a bit unclear on your specific configuration or what you are seeing, but you may want to check to make sure the phone isn't locked to the original carrier (if the phone was sold at any kind of discounted or subsidized rate, it is most likely carrier locked). You may find the information outlined in the following article helpful:

You may also want to be aware that different models of iPhone are sold in different regions and countries, and may only support specific carriers in those regions, as outlined here:

Additionally, even if you purchase an iPhone from a carrier at full price, you are purchasing a locked iPhone. To purchase a factory unlocked iPhone, you would want to purchase through Apple directly as they offer "SIM-free" iPhones that have no ties to any one carrier.

Note: this may not be subject to all regions
