Can Logic Pro mix audio to film?

hi, I have separate video and audio recording of a band performance, I am sure that LPX splice them together so that they are in sync, but how do I then get the combined result result for UTube?

Of course Logic can do that:

  • Import the Audio File to your Logic Project
  • Import the Video File (File ➤ Movie ➤ Open Movie...). Only one video at a time in an open Project
  • Slide the Audio and/or Video to sync them manually
  • Do some necessary mixing (fade, eq, compress, etc.)
  • Use the File ➤ Movie ➤ Export Audio to Movie... command to create a new video file with the audio mixed in
  • Upload the video file to your YouTube account.
  • Optional: Watch your YouTube video go viral

For the detailed steps, refer to the manual.

Thanks but that is exactly what I did, and I still get the skanky audio that came with the video instead of the nice audio recording that was separately done, and separately imported .. i even deleted the audio that came with the video and it still haunts the file generated by Movie / Export Audio to Movie in preference to the better quality recording

... what to do?

Seems like you did't follow my last advice "refer to the manual"

  • After you select the Export Audio... command the Save Dialog opens
  • After you click Save on that Dialog another little Dialog opens
  • In this "Choose tracks to export" you have to uncheck the checkbox.
  • The dialog lists all the original audio tracks embedded in the original video file (your "skanky audio"), so you want to uncheck that.
