How to turn Sleep Mode/Slideshow off for good?

I need my Computer screen to be on with NO slideshows or other screensaver as well as NO sleeping. I have tried turning off Energy Savers and it still goes into the slideshow which does not allow my software to run. Does anyone know hows i can just make my computer screen just stay the way?

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)

In System Preferences->Energy Saver, Set "Turn display off" to Never.

Note that if this is a laptop there are separate settings for "Battery" and "Power Adapter", so you need to make sure you put that in the right case (which I'm assuming to be "Power Adapter") or for both.

In System Preferences->Desktop & Screen Saver, set "Start after:" to Never.

Click on "Hot Corners..." and make sure that there are no "Hot corners" set to launch the screen saver or to put the display to sleep.

Also, in System Preferences->Displays you may want to UNcheck "Automatically adjust brightness".
