If you have not yet done so, it may help to update your iPhone and Apple Watch to the latest software, starting with your iPhone:

May 19, 2016 9:35 AM in response to ShawneeReporterby Jonathan UK,It may otherwise help to restart both your iPhone and your watch:
- Turn both devices off together, then restart your iPhone first;
- To turn your watch off: press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider; drag it to turn off;
- To turn it back on: press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.

May 19, 2016 9:39 AM in response to ShawneeReporterby Jonathan UK,If you use multiple Twitter accounts, note that the app sends notifications to your watch for all accounts that are on your iPhone, not just the Twitter account that you are logged in to.
If you Retweet (for example) via a notification that relates to a different account than your logged-in account, that Retweet will appear on the account that received the notification.

May 19, 2016 11:04 AM in response to Jonathan UKby ShawneeReporter,Thanks Jonathan. Sadly, have already tried everything you suggested (and just tried them again). Plus, I don't have multiple accounts in use, so I'm really at a loss as to why this is happening.

Apple WatchIt may help to unpair and re-pair your watch. The Watch app on your iPhone takes a backup of your watch when unpairing via the app. Choose to Restore from Backup when offered the option during set up. Most data and settings will be restored, with some exceptions (eg Apple Pay cards, passcode).

If the issue then persists, given the steps that you have already tried, you may wish to file a support ticket with Twitter (the app developer) for further assistance:

May 19, 2016 11:47 AM in response to Jonathan UKby ShawneeReporter,Welp, that didn't work either. Just got a notification and clicked the retweet button and nothing.
Interestingly, did just notice when I tried to also retweet it from my lock screen notification on my Iphone 6S, it also failed to appear on my timeline. Don't know if this is related at all, but I'm betting it is in some way. FWIW, I've uninstalled and reinstalled Twitter already, updated operating software on phone and watch, did hard reboots on both, unpaired watch and repaired it all here today.
As a journalist, Twitter is my lifeline and I use my watch almost exclusively for that. So hoping somebody has some additional suggestions.
Thanks,

Apple WatchThere have been a number of negative (1 star) reviews in the App Store since the Twitter app was last updated on 17 May.
I would still encourage you to consider filing a report with Twitter:

May 24, 2016 7:48 AM in response to Jonathan UKby Chris Banks,Ya I don't think this bug is on Twitter's end, cuz the iPhone lock screen can't even take me directly to an Instagram post from a lock screen push notification! All-in-all, iPhone's lock screen is just buggy! For the record, it's happening to me too... it's a shame tho that people are blaming Twitter for Apple's bugs!

May 24, 2016 10:12 AM in response to Chris Banksby ShawneeReporter,It's the same story with me. I've updated Twitter, rebooted both phone and watch, hard resets to both and it still isn't working on either my watch or the lock screen. I'm still assuming it's a Twitter issue, but at this point it's beyond frustrating and almost makes my watch useless because retweets and Twitter interaction are the main reasons I even use the watch. Sigh.
