Q: Facetime Issue

I have a iPhone & an IMAC have tried to use the IMAC to make calls both Audio & Visual and keep getting the message call cancelled. Have checked all settings and WIFI all the same on both. Any suggestions as to what maybe the issue? Both IMAC & IPHONE are only 2 months old.
