You might have fallen into a phishing email scam. When you clicked the link to sign in [fake link made to look exactly like Apple's website] you entered in your login information, and now someone else has your sign in information. The original message about there being a purchase was never legitimate.

Contact AppleCare Account Security for assistance. You will want to update the security of your account as well as regain access if you have lost the ability to make your own edits. Check for this at id.apple.com

In addition to contacting Apple Account Security which is essential you should reset Safari if that is the browser that opened when you clicked on the email. Malicious websites tend to plant cookies on your browser which can continue to create problems. Hopefully you did not provide any other information besides the Apple ID/PW. If you did you should contact those entities as well.

Reset Safari. Close Safari completely from the app switcher window by double clicking the Home button and swiping up the Safari preview pane until it disappears from the screen. Then go to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data. Then do a forced restart. Hold down the Home and Wake/Sleep buttons at the same time for about 15-20 seconds until the Apple logo appears.

    Wulan,

Did you sign up for Two Factor Authorization? If so read: Two-factor authentication for Apple ID - Apple Support for further information.

    The article explains:

"When you sign in on a new device, you’ll get a notification on your other trusted devices that includes a map showing the approximate location of the new device. This is an approximate location based on the IP address the device is currently using, rather than the exact location of the device. The location shown might reflect the network you're connected to, and not your physical location.

If you know you’re the person trying to sign in but you don’t recognize the location shown, you can still tap Allow and continue signing in.

However, if you ever see a notification that your Apple ID is being used to sign in on a new device and you're not the one signing in, tap Don’t Allow to ensure the sign in attempt is blocked."

If you no longer desire this security feature you can remove it from your account:

"To turn off two-factor authentication, sign in to your Apple ID account page and click Edit in the Security section. Then click Turn Off Two-Factor Authentication. After you create new security questions and verify your date of birth, two-factor authentication will be turned off."
