Is WasteNoTime Malware?

I'm looking for a Leechblock alternative for Safari. Some Users recommended to get WasteNoTime from the official Apple Safari Extension Gallery. Unfortunately, I can't find WasteNoTime any longer there and the Apple Support couldn't tell me why.

Therefore I'm not sure if this product is trustworthy and if I should download it directly from the developer Bumblebee Systems.

SelfControl would be an alternative but this program is also not available in the Apple App Store.

Can anyone tell me if the websites, where you can download WasteNoTime or SelfControl are trustworthy?

I'm afraid of downloading malware.

Thanks in advance!

Hi..

"I'm afraid of downloading malware."

Downloading apps from anywhere but the Safari Extensions Gallery puts your Mac as risk for malware, adware, and possibly, identify theft. Even if the app was available from the gallery, the developer is responsible for support.

Copy and paste from the Safari Gallery Extensions page: https://extensions.apple.com/

Apple is providing links to these extensions as a courtesy, and makes no representations regarding the extensions or any information related thereto. When you download and install an extension, the file is delivered by the developer, not by Apple. Any questions, complaints, claims or support requests regarding an extension must be directed to the appropriate software developer.

When Apple pulls an extension from the gallery, there must be justification for it.
