May 19, 2016 1:26 PM in response to thlmucby theratter,If it is new as you stated then it is still in warranty. You can make an appointment at the Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar and take it in for service. You can also look for an Apple Store - Find a Store - Apple. Let Apple fix it for free while it is in warranty.
While you wait try restarting it into Safe Mode and test to see if the problem persists. Then restart normally. Both will take longer than normal so be patient. Nothing is wrong. See if this helps. If you do take it in for service be sure to tell them the results of this test.

If no joy, by all means bring it to Apple and take full advantage of your warranty.
