Q: I'm can't get message notifications after 9.3.2 update

So after the latest iOS update (9.3.2), I am no longer getting notifications of unread messages. I get them on my Apple Watch, but I have to actually constantly check my messages app to see & respond to them because they do not appear anywhere else. Anyomen else experiencing this as well??

    Hi ..

By chance is Do Not Disturb on?

I see you posted recently about that >  Do not disturb stopped working after iOS 9.3.2 update

Use Do Not Disturb on your iPhone

If not, restarting your iPhone may help.

    1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
    2. Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
    3. After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

If a restart doesn't help both the Do Not Disturb and Notifications issue, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. That takes the settings back to default.

i have the same issue with Facebook messenger notifications. Notifications appear for a moment and then disappear. But when the second message comes notification stays on lock screen. I started after iOS update to 9.3.2. I seems to be a problem, but no restar/sign out//recet has fixed it. it's a dead end for me.

I have a problem since I updated yesterday.  The screen is black and simply won't turn on. I have checked all the usual things, including turning my iPhone on and then on again.  Have to make an apple appointment I suppose ( 50 mile round trip) , or can anyone suggest anything else please?

Update: I read pressing the side button AND the digital crown would force a start. I did and it has worked.

Having same problem. Reset all settings, but phone got locked up reloading. After freaking out just a bit, I restarted the phone by pressing the power and Home at the same time until it restarted.

All is ... finallly ... well.

Thanks for all your help guys!

NOTE: Worked on this blasted issue since last night. Should be a better way to 1) find the appropriate thread and 2) proactively send out notifications that the issue may happen with methods that may fix them or, 3) push through a fix if you see the masses are having issues. (Search "notification stopped on iphone" to see what I mean).

Having the same issue. messenger notification pops on the screen then disappears. Tried reset etc and nothing. Really getting sick of Apple, every time you update it's another problem. I would have thought these were things that should have been tested prior to releasing the update. Once again my phone doesn't work properly. That seems to be the case more often than not. Do your job properly apple your becoming a disappointment.

Forget "do not disturb", turning off/on or resetting. Something in 9.3.2 bombed the visual notification. No doubt someone at Apple is having this issue, too, so a fix will probably come sooner than later. Odd thing to get messed up, but probably comes from the home page lock (ahem) upgrade.

I Was able to solve my issue by turning off Bluetooth completely, it appears that notification sounds are being routed to BT even when not connected to a BT device. Just having a BT device previously connected and having the BT option "ON" was enough to duplicate the the issue. Turned off BT in SETTINGS and notification sounds started working again. HTH

Mine seems to be intermittent. some times they stay most of the time they don't. Noticed I had a messenger update today, was hoping it was a fix for the issue. But that was wishful thinking. its still doing the same thing.

IN8ability, seems to have found the cause, turned off bluetooth and its working fine. so annoying

On another note, deleting all bluetooth connections and re entering them makes no difference. It still disappears if bluetooth is turned on.
