Q: Does anyone know if you are limited in the number of characters in the text field?

I have text scrolling from the distant back right side up to the front edge of the left side. I am only getting half way through the full text message and the letters are jumbled at the very end. Is there a limit on the number of characters I can use? Is there a parameter setting a limitation that I can increase?

There seems to be. I figured it to about 16000 characters give or take (probably lower). (Estimated from the original TextEdit character limit as it seems that the text handling in Motion and FCPX appears to be that type of core text service.)  I drew this conclusion when developing a method of creating a subtitles in Motion. It eventually turned out that I had to cut scripts into "chapter sized" chunks to keep the character counts down. I never did get around to finishing that tutorial and it's been quite awhile now (and I can no longer find my notes on the subject). It could be the estimated character count is actually lower.

There is no way to reset the limit.

Thank you. I finally concluded after several failed attempts in new projects that this was the case and simply did a lot of cut and paste keyframes edits to get the result I was trying to create. I appreciate the feedback.
