no icon to mail images from Photos

the icon to mail images from Photos has disappeared from my sharing drop-down menu.

I first noticed this a few weeks ago, and I looked online and saw that others were having the same issue--this is a workplace computer and I never got to a solution by the end of the day--then the next day the icon was back.

Now it has disappeared again. And I can't find any support help for a solution.

It also is no longer in my sharing drop-down menu in Preview.

I am running Yosemite 10.10.5 on a 2013 3.4 Ghz Intel core i5

I went to the link you provided and followed the instructions for using the terminal app. In step three it says it may take a few minutes. That is true; it took almost 10 minutes. But the result was a fix.

Since it was a fix I didn't have to go to the second section for a fix. But I went to Extensions in Systems Preferences just to see if it looked any different. It did look different, as now I had a "Share Menu" in the left window whereas before there was no Share Menu listed there. however there is nothing in the share menu section and it says it's not enabled.

But again that being said, the command in the terminal app did fix my problem.
