May 19, 2016 3:29 PM in response to craigfromGCby turingtest2,Hopefully the device is backed up. See If you see the Connect to iTunes screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
If you don't have any luck with that method put the device into DFU mode and then again.
- Plug your iOS device into your computer and open iTunes.
- Press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time.
- After 8 seconds, release the Sleep/Wake button but continue to hold the Home button until iTunes says “iTunes has detected a device in recovery mode.”
- Release the Home button. The display will be completely black if the device is in DFU mode. If it isn't go back to step 2.
- Restore your device using iTunes.
Assuming it fails again take a note of the error messages. iOS 9.3.2 has been generating error 56 on some newer iPads, but it is just possible you're seeing the same error.
