I have an iPhone 6 Plus 9.3.1 (13E238), and I've noticed that after turning Sound Check off (in Settings -> Music), it will come back on by itself after a while (maybe several weeks later?). I've had it to do this about 3-4 times now over the past several months. I do not sync my phone with iTunes. Any idea what is triggering it, and how to stop it from happening?

Same problem with iOS 9, 10, and 11 on several iPhones with an Audi A4 and B&O sound system. Since sound check turns on every time I connect it via USB cable and it really destroys sound quality of the B&O and on my earphones I have to turn it off several times each day.
This should really be fixed. Thinking about getting a different car next time because of this.
I finally tracked down what was triggering this. Whenever I connect my iPhone to my Audi's MMI (it's a 2016 A6 by the way) via a USB-to-lightning cable, it automatically turns on Sound Check. Very annoying, hope Apple fixes this bug!
Not even clear to me if this is Audi's fault, or Apple's. And if Audi did explicitly want Sound Check enabled when using the MMI interface (why I don't know, about half of my audio tracks have clipping with it on), shouldn't the phone revert to it's previous setting once uplugged?
Same issue for me. Found this thread in pursuit of a fix. I, too, have an Audi. ‘12 S5 w/ B&O.
Any update on this bug, and when it might get fixed?
I have the same issue. I turn it off manually all of the time.. but it keeps coming back on. Coincidentally, I also have an Audi as well. (2016 A7)
