Q: Apple Pay Not Showing

I've tried every single method written on this forum. From changing the region (which was correct to US to begin with) to restarting, to system restore, to updating software. Every single thing I can possibly do. I have an iPhone 5s. Running the latest software update. Apple Pay is nowhere to be found. My wallet solely includes passes. In the past 6 months, I've run many system restores. I'd appreciate any help.

iPhone 5s, iOS 9.3.2

    Hi ..

What do I need to use Apple Pay?

Apple Pay is available in Australia, Canada, China, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States. You need a supported card from a participating bank or store, an Apple ID, and one of these devices:1

    • iPhone SE, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and later (in stores and within apps)
    • iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3, and later (within apps)
    • Apple Watch paired with your iPhone (in stores)
    • The latest version of iOS or watchOS

In stores, you can use Apple Pay on your iPhone or Apple Watch. Within apps, you can use Apple Pay on your iPhone or iPad.

I'm sorry you went to all that trouble. Has to be an iPhone SE etc. in bold above. So you would have to upgrade in order to use Apple Pay.

    Hi

With an Apple Watch paired to your iPhone 5s, you would be able to use Apple Pay on your watch.

Cards are added to the watch via the Watch app on the paired iPhone (but your iPhone itself, being an incompatible model, still could not be used with Apple Pay).

An incompatible model? As far as I'm concerned, I've been told many are running apple pay on even older versions. I won't buy a Apple Watch AND above all, Apple has forever lost me as a customer. Two phones, two macbook pros, and one iMac later and I am fed up.

    I'm afraid this is incorrect.

Earlier models are incompatible, as they do not physically contain the hardware (NFC chip) that is necessary for making contactless payments.

Not the post about supported devices. Apple Pay will not appear for you as it is no supported on your iPhone 5S.

That is exactly the reason why I traded my old 5S in for an iPhone SE.
