Can't upload finished book. App reports "Current time seems incorrect." Time is correct. Apple ID and PW are accurate.

See below. What's up? Any way to deal with it?

I've never seen or hears of this error when uploading a book - try setting your System time/date setting to a standard setting and see if that helps

I'm not sure I understand how to access "System time/date"  If you're refering to date/time in System Preferences, I don't see a "standard setting" Could you explain?

The error message can occur, when the time zone in your system preferences does not match the location of the print products store you want to buy from.  The location services will not work, of the time zone is wrong.

Check: System Preferences > Date & Time > Time zone.

Also check:  System Preferences > Language & Region.  The region should be the country of the Print Products Store you are buying from.

Check Photos > Preferences > General: Print products Store.

My Print Products Store reports that it's United States. (choose store based on billing address.).

But there's no detail on what time zone that store might be located.

So I'm kinda confused. I have no ideal what Time Zone to use.

After all, East Coast is 2 Time Zones earlier than the West Coast.

And if Photos Books actually get printed on the West Coast, (which I can't tell) are you asking me to change my Date and Time /Time zone from Easy Coast to West Coast?  So what do I do now?

By the way, my System Pref > Lang & Region also tells me my Region is United States - but not any Time zone

Use the timezone for the city in your billing address.

OK. Gone back to that setting. Same report keeps coming up again.

    Now what?

Check the menu item in Photos in the main application menu - not the Preferences:

"Photos > Print Products Store Account".  Does this menu take you to a page from the US Print products Store a different country?

Check all your delivery address details and the ailing address details on that page.  Enter the details again. There may be hidden items.

Then check the address format on your personal card in the Contacts app.

Open the Contacts and look at your own entry in the Contacts. Click the double-arrow to the right of "work" and set it to "Change Address Format".  Make sure all your addresses are formatted using the US formatting.

    Did all that.

Corrected some inconsistencies in addresses and Apple ID.

Still, same Time/Date report come up whenever I attempt to buy the book.

    Any other suggestions?

And thanks for your effort so far

    Hey!

    I got it.

In System Preferences/Date & Time, sometime in the distant pass, I'd selected "Set date and time automatically:" - thinking that was all I'd have to do.

So just today, when I began to wonder what that white box to the right might be used for, I decided to open it and discovered some options I didn't even know existed. Then selected "Apple Americas/U.S. (time.apple.com)"

And that's what Photos was looking for!!!!! Yea!!!

My Book's being processed right now

Thanks for all your help and suggestions.

Who knew it was that simple?

Come to think of it, how come Apple didn't make it clear they expected me to fill that white box?

Could have saved all of us a bunch of time and effort

That is an interesting discovery, great!

Just for clarification:  Has the checkmark "Set date and time automatically" been disabled, or has no time server been selected or the wrong time server?

Set Date and Time automatically was checked - by me, I think, when I first  was going through setup of the computer

No time server was selected (or offered - or requested, for that matter) until I clicked on the white box.

For better or worse, I'd guess I thought selecting "set automatically" was all I'd need to do.

So in fact, that would mean my iMac has been running that way - with no time server selected - from the day I bought it some 4 years ago.

What do you make of that?

I've never seen that box empty. On my Macs always "Apple Europe" has been selected by default.

I have an new idea as to what went wrong with my settings. And why

While doing a setup, after selecting Date/Time and Time Zone, I saw "Apple Americas(US)" and deleted it because Apple America is based in Calif, not in the East Coast Time Zone I'd just selected from above. So after deleting  "Apple Americas(US)", I tried to replace it with my local Time Zone - which it didn't like. As I recall, it took one number. But who cares? I'd selected "Set Automatically". And my iMac was working fine until I tried to upload the book. Thanks for your efforts. Hope this helps
