How can I stop itunes from opening my browser and bringing up itunes home page every time my computer is booted up?

Itunes software was interfering with other software on my computer so I removed itunes. Now every time my computer is booted up my browser opens on it's own and goes to itunes homepage. I had itunes on my computer so I could sync my Iphone 4s. Please tell me how I can stop this from happening. Thanks

I believe that in some cases Bluetooth driver software may be responsible for mystery launching of iTunes. What items are in your notification area? See also Autoruns for Windows, this can be a useful tool for selectively disabling startup items. In addition it may help to go to iTunes > Preferences > Advanced and tick the box Share iTunes Library XML with other applications in case you have a tool that wants to read this data, and not finding it fires up iTunes to ask directly.
