I received a low ink warning on my mac for my epson artisan 837 printer. I replaced the cartridge that was low but it still reads low ink on the mac but reads full on the epson control panel.

well, I replaced the ink cartridge as normal, and osx is not seeing that the printer is now full: says, "printer may be out of ink" on status. Ink levels will not show via the computer but do check out on the printer.

Restarted both units and to no avail.

Wifi is not a factor.

If anyone has a solution or ideas, please help.

Thank You!

@leroydouglas, thank you.

However, It turned out to be the OSX interface in System preferences I believe. I removed the device via System Preferences and after some failed attempts was able to enable the "fax device 837" and then it allowed the "Epson Artisan 837" to be re-added and it linked up that the printer now has ink.

Good computing Liquid46 !
