I have a strong apple.com password. I'm happy with it with anything that has a reasonable keyboard. Being that the password has upper case, lowre case symbols etc, its a real pain to type in using the apple remote.
I want it to ask me every time, but I wish there was something other than a keyboard password. Like even if I could tie it to some gesture on the apple remote or something, or some way to confirm with siri.

If you have an iPhone or an iPad, you can download Apple's Remote app. Once you pair it with your ATV, you can use the app to type in passwords, searches, and generally operate the unit. The app is free.

I wasn't aware of the app. You're a genius. That has to be one of the most useful Apple apps EVER. I dreaded entering data for the Apple TV.

It's a life saver when you browse looking for something to watch or buy. AND you can use it to control iTunes on your Mac, too.
In addition and perhaps a little easier, you can speak the password into the siri remote. In my experience it works very well.
