Instead of looking at this, I suggest you describe your symptoms. How are you initiating AirDrop? Between what two devices? What operating systems are they using? Do they both have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on? Are the devices physically close? What failure symptoms do you observe?

Thanks for your input.
I am trying AirDrop between my iphone 6S plus (9.3.2) and my Macbook Pro Retina (10.11.5) . Physically close, same wifi network, same APPLE ID (Handoff works perfectly), once i activate Airdrop from my iPhone (both BT and WiFi on), MBP does not list my iphone in the AirDrop map.

firewall is off. It was never tuned on . But still no luck.
