Apple remote back arrow causing TV to ask for an Auto Channel Scan every time

I have an Apple TV connected to my Insignia TV on HDMI3. Every time I use my Apple Remote's back arrow, my TV asks for an Auto Channel Scan. It's infuriating. I've tried unpairing and then re-pairing the remote, resetting my Apple TV, changing settings on my TV. Nothing is working. Any advice??

Hey Daniellem007,
I understand that you are getting input suggestions for an auto channel scan for your TV when hitting the back arrow on your remote. Let's see if we can get this sorted out.
What comes to mind is that the TV is using the HDMI-CEC feature to control the volume and other features right from your Apple TV. You might want to check the settings on your TV and maybe turn that off. This would also turn off the option to change the volume right from your Apple TV remote. Take a look at the article below for more details.
