I had bought my mac around January 2015. It is a year old now. It has started becoming hot now. It gets heated up quickly and I think that the exhausts are not working. What should I do?

I have a macbook air right now. It is a year old. From last one or two months it has started getting heated up very quickly and I think the exhausts have stopped working. So what should I do? Is there any way I can check the exhausts or I will have to take it to the Apple Service Centre?

MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

I see you're concerned about the fans on your Mac. To learn more about how your Mac keeps your internal components within operating temperature, I suggest you read through the articles linked to below.
