Q: How do I retreive a previous version of quicktime?

I tried to reinstall a previous version of quicklime player (with a save as feature) which was original to my computer but it seems I am blocked from doing so. I know I can go online to get the so-called previous versions, but these in fact are not originals as none of them has the "save as" feature which I would like to have back. I am aware of the export and duplicate options- this is not what I want. What I would like is the original versions with its original features and functions.

I used time machine in an attempt to retrieve my original version, however, I got a pop up saying “QuickTime Player.app” can’t be modified or deleted because it’s required by Mac OS X."  This sounds like a BS for some other motive for which apple is effectively blocking this process.

Is there a real solution to bypassing apple's block on the product that I purchased by retrieving the previous quicktime player version from timemachine?
