HD Monitors - Retina?

Hello,

At home I'm still using a very old small Apple cinema display so I really want to get a bigger HD monitor. I recently got a new Retina iMac at work and noticed how fantastic the display looks. However I see that Apple don't make the Retina display separately so what is a good quality alternative? Thanks.
