Make sure the software is up to date ...
Update the software on your Apple TV
- Apple TV (4th generation): Go to Settings > System > Software Updates > Update Software.
- Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation): Go to Settings > General > Update Software.

May 20, 2016 1:16 PM in response to Carolyn Samitby zipperpig,I know how to update them. The TVs just say they are up to date, even though they are not.

May 20, 2016 2:45 PM in response to zipperpigby Diana.McCall,tvOS does not apply to older ATVs, only tje new ATV 4. So there is no update for your ATV 3.
What is the lease duration of yoir DHCP server? ATV should renew when the lease is half expired.
Is it possible they're losing WiFi connection and reconnecting?

May 20, 2016 4:51 PM in response to zipperpigby Diana.McCall,You might be interested in this AppleTV 3 floods DHCP when ethernet connected thread. Although it applies to wired connections, it includes a lot of analysis.
I still believe your WiFi connections are being interrupted, and that's why they're getting new leases. How is your area for interference from other networks on the same channel? How is the signal strength at the ATV sites? There have been reports of problems when mixed AES/TKIP encryption is enabled. AES only is preferred.

May 21, 2016 7:41 AM in response to Diana.McCallby Diana.McCall,Does your WiFi network have a single access point (or router) like a home system? Or do you have multiple access points distributed across the site? If there are multiple APs using the same SSID, it might be that the ATVs are switching between APs based on perceived differences in level. If one signal is dominant at each ATV, that should not happen.

May 23, 2016 11:22 AM in response to Diana.McCallby zipperpig,Thanks Diana. The Lease renews anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour. I'm definitely checking the other post you mentioned just below here. Thanks a bunch

May 23, 2016 11:33 AM in response to zipperpigby Diana.McCall,Hi, when I asked about the lease duration, I meant the lease duration setting in the router DHCP server, not how often they renew.
If your router keeps it a secret (my Netgear does), you can see it if you connect a PC to the network and ipconfig /all. Might be able to see it on a Mac also.
Another question is: are you using WiFi channels that require DFS? It should show in the router channel settings. That might cause the ATVs to drop off and reconnect when the channel switches due to a radar coming on scene.
