iMac 27" late 2013 3.2 GHz intel core i5 iOS 10-.11.4 32GB 1600 MHz DDR3keeps changing comcast account settings

Comcast email will not send messages, though it will receive. I have spent hours with comcast help to no avail, and an hour and a half with two different Apple helpers, via phone. It was fixed by deleting the Mail program and reinstalling, but 5 days later the exact same thing is happening. Mail works fine on my iPad.

Hello MistyMidge,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities!

I understand that Mail related issues can be extremely frustrating, but we’re here to help. I realize that you have been attempting to troubleshoot this situation and have even deleted and re-added the account.

To completely resolve this issue, we need to make sure we have the correct settings for this Comcast account. The following article gives some specific information that you may need to get from your provider.

Mail settings you might need from your email provider - Apple Support

If these settings all appear correct, use the Mail Connection Doctor as described in the next article to help further isolate the issue.
