Q: QT Player: can't export or save after deleting clips!

Using my APPLE iPhone, I made a .mov file.

On my Mac, running Yosemite, I opened the file in QT Player 10.4.

I split the video several times, removing sections.

I cannot join the clips in any way, and I cannot save or export it in any way. Every attempt results in an error message along the lines of "cannot read this kind of document" as though it had changed.

Any enlightenment?

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), 13 inch mid 2010, 2.66 ghz 8gb ram

From your question, I understand that you have split a movie into clips using Quicktime Player. At this point, it sounds like you would like to use those clips in a movie.
