Can't change "Recently Added" under Library to list view.

I am now using iTunes v12.4.0.119

I selected the "Recently Added" under Library and it seems stuck on album view, I can't get it to switch to list view no matter what I do. I appreciate looking at the album artwork but I can't stand the inefficiency of having all that wasted space. I would much prefer a list view. I can't seem to change anything about this playlist, least of all how it is displayed.

If I can't get it to list view, I will have to delete it. It's so jarring when all other views are set to list view and boom big-*** page of dead space and visual clutter of album artwork.

Won't let me use a feature to it's proper full advantage? No problem, I won't use it at all.

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), (El Capitan has missing features)

Good day Starry001

Hope this helps. Select 'Recently Added' playlist on your sidebar, now on the menu bar go to 'View' and select 'View As' --> 'Songs'. Your playlist should now be displayed as a list of items. You can always switch between different views for each of your playlists.

I don't like it either asked about whether or not I could change it the day after the update came out. It can't be changed. Instead, create a Smart Playlist called "Most Recently Added," set it to whatever number you want, make sure you have it set to live updating, and just use that playlist to keep track of what you've recently put in your Library.
