not enough storage space? I deleted every mail

My icloud inbox is empty. I deleted all the mail from the icloud on the desktop browser website version AND from my Iphone 4S. All 3000 inbox mail is gone so why does my Iphone keep telling me that my storage space is full? I only have 400 photos. No video. No games except angry bird. I have a 16GB and my iphone is updated.User uploaded fileUser uploaded file

Hello there iamitie,

It sounds like you are unable to get your space to update after having deleted all your iCloud emails. I would first try removing the account from the phone, and re adding it to see if that purges any cached data.

  1. On your iOS device, tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  2. Tap the email account you want to remove.
  3. Tap Delete Account.
  4. Add your account again.

If that doesn't do it, there may be another app that is eating all the space on the phone, or a combination of them. this article will help you determine if that is the case:

Check your storage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
