Q: Boot camp Windows 8 trackpad and keyboard not working

So I managed to install Windows 8 via Boot Camp. The installation went good and everything worked fine. I then installed the Support files, and after the system restarted the trackpad and keyboard stopped working. I tried restarting over and over again and the same sequence happens: windows 8 starts up, the Start screen appears but there is no cursor or any possible way to navigate around.

I have read some threads about having to access device manager and fixing it there, but the problem is that I don't have a USB mouse so I'm stuck at the Start screen and can't do anything.

Does anyone have any tips on how to fix this?

iPad Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

This may get confusing because there are two users with similar issues and may have different problems. Please watch for replies specifically directed at you.

Please check Device Manager for any unknown devices, if possible. What is the brand/model of the keyboard? Does the Keyboard work properly on the OS X side?

I have a macbook pro (Retina late 2013)

Crazy enough , after multiple restarts and trying to enter the windows 8 via boot log and safe mode, it so happens that everything works. But after I restart again, it's back to square one. Is there a permanent fix to this, and eventually what to do in device manager to fix it?

Also, when I press f8 at windows starup, the mouse and keyboards for navigation work, but not when I actually enter the windows start and desktop itself

    1. Do you have any unknown devices in Device Manager?

    2. Do you have a Bootcamp entry in Control Panel?

So I think I actually managed it work properly now. Everytime i accessed the windows drive I kept holding the alt key and manually selecting windows. I changed it so that windows becomes the startup disk, and everything seems to work properly now
