Sign into iCloud dot com, and under your screen name in the upper-right corner is Settings. Click that, and the following screen will have the ability in the lower left corner for deleted file recovery. This is a 30-day sliding window for recovery.

If you have an external Time Machine backup reliably running on Mac, then the Pages documents that were stored on iCloud are also backed up by your Mac, providing that you had iCloud enabled in System Preferences, and that iCloud Drive Options had Pages checked.

During a Time Machine Restore, you look for Pages documents in this location:

home directory : Library : Mobile Documents : Pages

You have posted into the Pages for Mac community, and for Pages on iPad, there is the iWork for iOS Community.
