i trying to restore iPod shuffle but a for password. I do not know what it is. What can I do.

Are you running iTunes on Windows or OS X?

As far as I'm aware you shouldn't need a password to restore a shuffle in iTunes.

If you are using a Mac, that is probably OS X asking you to enter your admin user account password for authorization, like when you install new software.
