iMessage not syncing between Mac Book and phone
iMessage is sending and receiving on both devices, except all messages sent from my Mac Book Air (running Yosemite 10.10.5) are being sent and received from my AppleID email address. Neither device is syncing properly (iPhone is sending and receiving messages from my phone number, Mac does not show any of these).
I have followed all the normally listed steps to resetting the sync, including turning off both devices and signing in and out of iMessage on both devices. Both devices have iMessage enabled with the proper AppleID, both devices say I can be reached both at my email and my phone number, and both devices (supposedly) start new conversations from my phone number. None of the normal steps seem to fix this issue.
