So my Apple TV Remote just randomly stopped working. I thought because the battery died so I replaced it and now it won't work at all. The light on the Apple TV isn't blinking when I press the remote. I've unpaired and repaired and restarted already. Nothing works, do I have no buy a whole new remote?

Yes. If the light does not blink on the ATV the remote is not putting out a IR signal. Since you restarted the ATV to make sure it was not in a funk, I would buy another remote. You could take it to a Apple Store and have them check it out but it is likely the remote died.
Yes it sounds like you may need to replace it.
