Q: Shared album on Mac and iPhone out of sync
My husband and I have a shared album with our daughters pics and not two devices have the same amount of pics from that album. My MacBook and iPhone don't have the same total number of pics, my iPhone to my husbands is about a 300 pic difference. I am not sure how to get them in sync. The album has 5K pics, though on some it can be 5200, and then another is 4700, and so a manual comparison is out of the question. Need help to reconcile, or how to make sure all devices match. All devices are updated with the latest and greatest software updates. Thanks in advance for any help.
iPhone 6s, iOS 9.3.2

It is probably because you reached the limit of photos per shared album. The limit for photos in any shared album is 5000 photos, see this link:
My Photo Stream and iCloud Photo Sharing limits - Apple Support https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202299
Maximum combined number of photos and videos from all contributors in any one shared album: 5000
When you each the limit, it is not clear what will happen with the photos that exceed the maximum number.
I'd start a second shared album, if you want to preserve the photos in the first one.
