iPhone 5c screen is black but recognized in iTunes?

So this afternoon, I was browsing Facebook on my iPhone 5c but suddently, the screen randomly shut off. I tried to turn it back on again using the method to hard reset it and connecting it to a power source (In this case, I decided to hook it up to my laptop running iTunes). The iPhone connected to the computer perfectly and iTunes recognized it but my iPhone's screen still remains off. Then, I put my iPhone in DFU mode and restored it (There wasn't any problems during the restore, except for the black screen) So i'm wondering, did my screen die? (It was already badly cracked and the LCD was damaged badly)

I also noticed that the phone won't vibrate anymore (I tested it by activating the silent switch) Is it related to the screen failure?

Will I have to replace the screen and LCD? Plz help me 😟 (Its my first time, any help is appreciated )

iPhone 5c, iOS 9.3.2

Greetings Rainbowdash123,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities!

I understand that the screen on your iPhone is black and not responding. We know that issues like this can be frustrating, but there are some troubleshooting steps to take in these type of situations.

I would recommend reading over and working through the steps outlined in the following article. I know you have completed most off not all of these steps, but for the sake of completeness, I suggest working through them again.

If you see a solid color screen (black, white, or blue)

  1. Plug in your device to a power source. If you see the low-battery screen when you plug in, let your device charge for at least 10 minutes (20 minutes for iPad) before using it.
  2. Force restart your device while it's plugged in.
  3. If this doesn't work, restore your device.
  4. If you still see the issue after you restore, contact Apple Support.
