Q: Trying to update my ipad pro 9.7

Reset your network settings.

Settings - General - Reset - Reset Network Settings

Reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on the phone.

• Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
• Press and hold on the Home button
• Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.

Apple pulled the update for iPad Pro 9.7" because it caused major issues.

Consider yourself lucky you were not able to install it. Wait until a newer version of the update bevokes available.

For a very small number of users.

Apple pulled 9.3.2 as people got error message. Now you can only download  9.3.1. I had the same problem and lost all my purchased music and videos. I waiting for an update to hopefully fix my problems.

Yes, but if you're one of the affected users, the iPad is completely bricked.

I agree, if it happens to you, it's bad. And I think it's a good idea that Apple pulled the update. Better safe than sorry in this case.

Just to let you know, Apple today released a revised version of iOS 9.3.2 that addressed the "bricking" issue on iPad Pros 9.7" models.
