iPhone screen broke it won't respond and how can i transfer photos and contacts to my iMac

My iPhone 6 screen absolutely shattered and the lcd screen behind it is glitching out and it won't respond. I want to know how can i transfer my photos and contacts to my computer so i can put them on my new phone?

P.S. the screen is absolutely unusable and is almost dead.

iPhone 6, iOS 9.3.1, T-Mobile

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I'm sorry to hear about your iPhone. If you have previously set up your iPhone to back up automatically to iCloud, you may be able to back it up even with a broken screen by plugging in to power while in range of a previously joined WiFi network.
