Problem with fitness apps on my daughter's Apple Watch

Not too long my daughter won an Apple watch from our local orthodontist. it is a fun giveaway the do - http://miamiorthodontist.com/miami-invisalign-provider-february-2016-contest-win ner/

Anyway, she is having problem with fitness/heart rate apps on her Apple watch. Could this be because she is wearing it too tight or too loose on her wrist?

Hi

Yes - your daughter could be experiencing issues due to wearing her watch with a poor fit.

For the best results when tracking exercise, it is important for the watch to fit snugly against the top of her wrist. To help with this, Apple suggests that users consider tightening the watch band before workouts and loosening it again afterwards.

During general daily wear, for the best results from features including Wrist Detection, the Taptic Engine and the heart rate sensor, the back of her watch also needs to be in contact with her skin. Wearing it with the right fit (neither too tight nor too loose, with room for her skin to breathe) should be sufficiently comfortable, whilst also allowing the sensors to operate properly:
