Download vcard with national characters in name

How can I download a VCARD file with national characters (UTF-8) in the Name part?

Download site is Windows with ASP.NET 4.0

I have tried with ContentType: "text/x-vcard;" and "text/x-vcard; charset=utf-8;"

Download the file to iPhone

When I open this file in Contacts, the name special characters åäö are all "strange looking".

Works fine on Android.

iPhone 6, iOS 9.3

I think you need to open the card with a text editor and resave as either utf-8 with BOM or maybe utf-16.

It is actually dynamically generated Vcard-data from a database.

Is Ios picky about BOM?

I will investigate if/how I can set BOM in String for UTF8 in C#.
