MXF to ProRes 422

A client gave me a drive that they got from their camera man. I need to get the files into Apple ProRes 422 to edit but I can't figure out whether to use ClipWrap, Mpegstream Clip or XDCam transfer ... or something else.

Each folder is a card and includes a series of folders: Audio, Clip, Icon, Proxy, Video, Voice All of the Audio and Video files are .MXF.

Any help would be great!!

Sounds like they shot Panasonic P2...that's the file structure for that format. None of the converters mentioned will work. For this you use standard old LOG AND TRANSFER...right inside FCP.

NOW...if they shot P2 that was recorded as DVCPRO HD...that will only come in as DVCPRO HD. Cannot import that as ProRes...only option you have is DVCPRO HD... but that is a lossless conversion. If they shot AVCIntra, then you can bring it in as ProRes. In the log and Transfer preferences (sprocket menu in the Log and Transfer interface) there is a place to choose what format of ProRes to import AVCINTRA as. NOT AVCHD...AVCINTRA...
